CHAIRMAN'S COMMENTS

Dear Fellow Hood County Republicans,

On November 1, 2007, the Hood County Republicans will have a great opportunity to show just how strong the party is here by hosting a Roast of State Representative Jim Keffer and State Senator Kip Averitt. This event is designed to assist in bringing attention to our county and will be great fun! Both Representative Keffer and Senator Averitt have done great work for our county and the other counties in their districts. It is only fitting that we honor them....BY POKING A LITTLE FUN AT THEM!!!

The event will take place at the Pecan Plantation Ballroom. There will be a light mingle between 6:30pm and 7pm, while guests arrive. Dinner will be served at 7pm. At around 7:40pm, the entertainment will begin.

The cost of the event is $350 a table ($45 individual ticket), with eight guests per table. If you would like to roast one of the guests of honor, it is free if you purchase a table and $50 if you do not. Checks are to be made payable to "Jim Keffer Campaign".

Again, this is a great opportunity for Hood County to show off its Republican RED. Several other counties have expressed interest in attending the event, as well as other elected officials and other Republicans from outside of Hood County. Senator John Cornyn has even expressed enthusiasm toward the opportunity of attending the event.
